Sodium Acetate 99% (CH3COONa) is the sodium salt of acetic acid obtained as a by -product from manufacturing acetanilide, acetylsalicylic acid. Sodium acetate is mostly prepared by neutralizing acetic acid with sodium carbonate & evaporating solution to crystallization. Sodium acetate is colourless deliquescent salt with a wide range of applications. sodium bicarbonate and sodium hydroxide. In industry, it is prepared from the glacial acetic acid and sodium hydroxide.
Sodium Acetate 99% manufacturing method comprises firstly by putting glacial acetic acid and sodium carbonate (or sodium hydroxide and sodium bicarbonate) into a special reactor and then undergoing a chemical reaction in the reactor to generate crystalline sodium acetate. The evaporating moisture formed in the reaction process by using heat generated in the chemical reaction and heat released in the crystallization process to get a crystalline sodium acetate.
