Potassium Tripolyphosphate (K₅P₃O₁₀) is an alkaline phosphate salt widely used as a sequestrant, builder, and stabilising agent in detergent, food, and industrial formulations.
It is obtained through the controlled thermal condensation of monopotassium and dipotassium phosphates, yielding a white, highly soluble salt with excellent chelating capacity for calcium and magnesium ions.
