Phosphoric Acid (H₃PO₄), also known as Orthophosphoric Acid, is a colourless, non-volatile, and moderately strong inorganic acid widely used in fertilizers, metal treatment, detergents, and water treatment formulations. The technical grade is typically available in 75–85% concentration and is suitable for industrial and process applications that do not require food or analytical purity.
It is produced industrially by the wet process, involving the treatment of phosphate rock with sulphuric acid, followed by purification to remove fluorides and insoluble impurities. The resulting Phosphoric Acid Technical Grade offers excellent solubility, corrosion inhibition, and pH buffering capabilities.
