Aquavin HEDP Di Sodium Description
HEDP is an organophosphoric acid corrosion inhibitor and superior phosphonic acid chelating agent based on its hydrolytic stability and its superior ability to act as sequestering and anti-scaling agent. HEDP (HydroxyethylideneDiphosphonic Acid) is an odourless organic phosphorus chemical compound having physical appearance as colourless to yellowish acidic liquid. HEDP is acid corrosion inhibitor and a popular EDTA substitute used in various industrial applications such as industrial water treatment corrosion inhibitor and detergents. HEDP readily chelates with Fe, Cu, and Zn ions to form stable chelating compounds.
HEDP acid reacts with metal ions to form a hexa-element chelating complex, with calcium ion in particularIn the water system. HEDP or HydroxyethylideneDiphosphonic Acid assists as an organo phosphonate compound having multifunctional properties such as sequestration, deflocculation, and super threshold inhibition as a single active ingredient.
HEDP shows good synergistic effects when built together with other water treatment chemicals, Hydroxyethylidenediphosphonic acid can be also used as chelating agent in the textile industry. HEDP reacts with metal ions in water system to form hexa-element chelating complex, with calcium ion in particular. Hydroxyethylidenediphosphonic acid is hard to be hydrolysed and decomposed under ordinary light and heat conditions owing to good chemical stability at high pH value. Therefore, HEDP has good ant scale and visible threshold effects.
HEDPdisplays good stability in presence of chlorine, and good corrosion inhibition properties in presence of zinc and other phosphates.HEDP’s acid/alkali and chlorine oxidation tolerance is superior than that of other organic phosphonic acids (salt). HEDP readily dissolves the oxidized materials on these metals’ surfaces showingexcellent scale and corrosion inhibition properties under temperature 250℃. The solid state of HydroxyethylideneDiphosphonic Acid is crystal powder and it is highly pure in solid state is suitable for usage in winter and freezing districts. Solid state HEDP is widely used as cleaning agent in electronic fields and as additives in daily chemicals.
