Electroplating Process

Electroplating is basically the process of plating a metal onto the other by hydrolysis mostly to prevent corrosion of metal or for decorative purposes. The process uses an electric current to reduce dissolved metal cations to develop a lean coherent metal coating on the electrode.

Plating Process is critical throughout many industries and generally finds applications for decoration, protection against corrosion, improve solder ability, harden the component or part, increase strength against wear and tear, reduce friction, alter conductivity and shield against radiation; amongst many other uses.

We use a broad variety of materials and metals for plating and finishing, which are both technically advanced and of high quality. The advantages of Plating are that it improves quality of the manufacturing processes, plating enhances appearance, coating prevents rust and corrosion, improves product aesthetics, used to make non-stick products, and keeps low friction to keep surfaces lubricated.

Uses of Inorganic chemicals in the Plating Process

Electroplating uses metals including nickel, cadmium, zinc, and copper, chromium, silver and gold, dissolvable salts incorporating cyanide and sulphate, acids and alkaline solutions.
